Food Biotechnology is mainly focused on evolving developments and application of prevailing genetics, metabolic, enzymatic and structures- based biochemical processes in food and food- related biological systems. The purpose is to help improve and produce foods, functional foods and food ingredients at the stage of processing and beyond agricultural production, genetically modified plants are used to enhance shelf life, nutrition, taste and quality of food which is synthesized using biotechnological tools.
